ECCT Mission and Vision Statement

ECCT works in one of the third world countries with an objective of providing our staff and the surrounding community with a high level of safe work environment. This policy covers all staff employed by ECCT including staff and their dependents , independent sub-contractors, official non-employee visitors and
all others affected by our activities.

 Authority and responsibility for Safety and Security:

  • Individual: Staff members at all levels have the authority
    and responsibility to improve safety and security procdures
    wherever these are inadequate. All staff should comply
    with the ECCT Code of conduct and should not behave in
    any way that could present a risk to themselves, others or
    the Company. Failure to follow security guidelines and
    procedures may be treated as a disciplinary matter.
  • Managers: All managers are responsible for the security of
    the staffthey manage & managing staff security, including:
    delegating security management tasks; ensuring an
    appropriate security management system and plan is
    developed.
  • Organization: The ECCT HSSE Engineer has overall
    responsibility for safety and security. Policy and Standard
    Operating Procedures will be determined through a
    consultative process between Projects Manager and The
    HSSE Engineer.
  • Public: The safety of members of the public and other
    contractors is considered at all times whilst onsite.
  • Clients: Employees will always familiarize themselves with
    client procedures. in particular general site access,
    emergency procedures and high risk work activities
    including permit to work systems.

 Risk Rating System:

All projects ar rated according to theassessed level of risk.The risk rating categories will be made available to all Projects Managers. Projects Security Plans will be designed in the context of the assigned risk rating for that location.

 Training:

All staff will have access to personal security training. This
training will be coordinated through the HSSE Engineer. HSSE Engineer will attend site training events and will be expected to ensure field based training occurs for all field staff.
